The serene house of an industrialist, intentionally designed extreme contrary to him

‘House on Hill’ also known as ‘Vinamra farm’ is just what the name suggests, mild, polite and well receiving to our dear client Ramesh Pathak who is an industrialist. A tiny pond at the entrance is the welcome gesture, which is opposite to the traditional Gujarati main door. The complete width of the house has 10 feet high verandah. The center of the house is raised high to bring in natural light from all four sides. The central core, the ‘Brahmasthal’ is used as a dining space with the luxury of natural light, fresh greenery and curve wall for the family portraits. The backdrop of greenery, reflection on mirror polished Kota stone, the under the skylight is a wonderful feature of the house. The client’s modesty and simplicity urged us to design using exiting furniture.
